Go Where the Locals Go!

Wolf Bay Lodge has been serving fresh seafood and steaks in a family atmosphere since March 1, 1973 when Charlie & Sandra Wrape purchased the Lodge located in Elberta, AL.  What began as a bait shop in the 1940's slowly expanded to serve sandwiches and then to full menu dining.  The daughters, Alice Bretz and Charlene Haber, are now running the business they grew up in and they are carrying on the tradition that their parents started.

Many of the recipes came from the ladies who worked at the Lodge who lived within the community.  These include our seafood gumbo, stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp, stuffed flounder, salad dressings, etc.  This, along with hard work & determination, has contributed to the success of Wolf Bay Lodge.

Charlie and Sandy added on to the building in 1978 to accommodate the increase in customers that the business was generating.  In September of 2004, Hurricane Ivan completely gutted the building.  The inside of the building was completely renovated and it reopened in February of 2005.  On December 7, 2008, Wolf Bay Lodge was completely destroyed by fire.  The cause of the fire was unknown but the fire marshall said it could have been an electrical wire in the attic.  Our boat launch at the Elberta location is still available and yearly boat launch passes are available.  Please call (251) 987-5129 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for more information.

Wolf Bay Lodge is now located on Cotton Bayou at Zeke's Landing Marina in Orange Beach, Alabama.  We reopened in March of 2009.  All of our employees except one came to work in our new location.  Our family is back together again!

We are on Hwy. 182 Perdido Beach Blvd. 1/4 of a mile past St. Thomas by the Sea with the orange Spanish tile roof on the left.  For a map and driving directions, please click HERE.
